The European Union Entering Quicksands

The European Union Entering Quicksands

Our good friends at Pro Europa Christiana in Brussels send us a pressing warning on the way how European Union politics is losing its way and is entering upon dangerous quicksands.

Pro Europa Christiana in Brussels is a small outfit under the leadship of young Paul Duke of Oldenbourg helping a wide circle of associations all over Europe on the relations between European politics and the Christian message. The group  addresses  policy makers in and out of Brussels, and gives special attention to the youth of Europe by helping it to pass on the Christian heritage and the European cultural patrimony to future generastions.
I remember gatherings in “Pro Europa Christiana”s elegant salons in its Brussels townhouse where we met for instance with Magdi Christiano Allam the Italian politician of Egyptian origin at one occasion, and with Prof. Roberto de Mattei  the author of works on i.a. the Risorgimento, on the Church’s Vatican  Council  and on Turkey  at another occasion.       Hidden behind such meetings is an intense  labor of constant interaction across Europe between participating organisations, building up personal relations in order to improve our chances for Europe’s survival.  Our ally, a small inquisitive mole, meet “TALPA”

Pro Europa Christiana has also befriended and struck up an alliance with a curious little animal called “Talpa” (“taupe” in French, “mole” in English) which in the underground world of the Brussels institutions never stops discovering small or  big scandals, leakages, unsteady pillars and other construction faults and dangers in the European Union. Faults and scandals who otherwise might escape attention.
Is TALPA or its master anti-European?  Certainly not. Rather the contrary. Both may be even better Europeans than the parliamentarians you and I elected. They hope to do their duty, watching out for the benefit of us who live at some distance from the hidden Brussels political jungle.
“TALPA, the powerful Mole” warns us against dangers, impending disasters. I cordially recommend getting our little “watching mole’s” short messages which come sometimes twice a week, depending on what the little animal happens to finds in the basements.

Here is the TALPA’s finding of today :

Following a statement by Lady Catherine Ashton, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, a motion for a resolution “on human rights, sexual orientation and gender identity at the United Nations” is being promoted in the European Parliament.
Based in the contention that the European Union already includes sexual orientation and gender identity in its work at the United Nations and the fact that all EU Member States at the UN Human Rights Council voted in favour of the resolution on Human rights, sexual orientation and gender identity, the draft resolution being promoted reiterates its concern regarding the alleged “widespread discrimination based on sexual orientation and gender identity, both in the European Union and in third countries” and supports the organisation of a panel discussion during the 19th session of the Human Rights Council to have “constructive, informed and transparent dialogue on the issue of discriminatory laws and practices and acts of violence against individuals based on their sexual orientation and gender identity.”
It further “regrets that the rights of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgenderpeople are not yet always fully upheld in the European Union” and request that the Commission produce “a comprehensive roadmap against homophobia, transphobia, and discrimination on grounds of sexual orientation and gender identity.”
This proposed draft resolution is another step in the pro-homosexual lobby strategy to advance its agenda into European legislation. In fact, this lobby already got the EU’s charter of fundamental rights to be the first international treaty to introduce sexual orientation among the grounds on which it is illegal to make any discrimination. However, this same charter makes not a single mention of the non-scientific, purely ideological notion of “gender identity” being now promoted by this draft resolution.
Pro-family MEPs and NGOs should mobilize themselves

and block this draft resolution !
